St. Patrick's Day is a time of year that most adults can't wait for, but it is also a wholly engaging holiday for children. Being able to dress up in green, enjoying green candy and celebrating Irish culture is one of the many ways that young children learn about the holiday. If you're in charge of your child's class crafting project this year, have them construct their own St. Patrick's Day pencils.
Using Tulip® 3D Fashion Paints, Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ and Aleene’s® Original Tacky Glue™, the kids can create various custom designs that are perfect for this time of year. However, before they finish with their projects you can give them a few ideas of how to utilize them in the coming weeks or a few tips to make them a part of a St. Patty's Day gift for their family.
1. A centerpiece booster. While St. Patty's Day gifts are usually not the norm, encourage the children in your child's class to give these beautiful pencils to their parents as a gift. While they can obviously be used as a writing implement, they can also be a wonderful topical addition to a spring centerpiece. It's just the kind of unique detail that can help their spring decorations stand out.
2. A gift for on the job. Instead of giving their parents' St. Patty's Day decorations a beautiful accent, the kids can give them to their parents as a gift that they can use at the office. You can never have enough writing implements handy, and their parents will definitely get plenty of kudos from other co-workers and friends about their beautiful new pencils!
3. Younger siblings. If the kids have younger siblings in their home, these pencils can make a wonderful gift that they will treasure. You can bring along some extra Tulip® Fabric Markers™ to allow the children to personalize the pencil with their little brother or sister's name. On the other hand, if you have a few kids who are an only child, they can give it to their favorite teacher, relative or anyone else that's near and dear to their heart.
St. Patrick's Day is filled with wonderful craft project possibilities, and they may just brighten someone's day.
