Instructions
- Rinse out containers then use scissors to cut off tops from each. Rinse again then dry with paper towels. Trim each carton to desired height at this time.
- Cut fabric, paper or T-shirt fabric to fit around containers, adding about a 1” overlap at ends and along bottom edge.
- Place newspapers on work surface then place fabric, right side down in center. Following package instructions, spray an even coating of Crystal Clear Tacky Spray™ onto entire back of fabric.
- To create a small spray booth, place box on one of its sides, then place carton in center. Spray all sides with Crystal Clear Tacky Spray™. Immediately place carton on its side in center of fabric, with top cut edge of carton just slightly below top edge of fabric. Use fingers to press fabric smooth around carton, lining up top edges. Excess material can be cut around bottom edge or folded onto bottom if desired. Repeat process to cover all containers using different fabrics or decorative papers.
- From magazines, cut out letters, pictures of food and a picture of each herb that will be planted in each container. If unable to find in magazines, use computer to locate and print out photos, etc. Tear around pictures to create a rough edge, then cut out separate letters to spell out herb name. Refer to photo.
- Place each container on its side on work surface then position cutouts where desired on container. Place a stack of scratch paper off to side on newspaper. Place larger pictures on scratch paper, right side down and hold in place with skewer. Spray with adhesive then place on container and press to secure. Continue with remaining pieces, holding each with skewer. Repeat for all containers.
- Plant herbs in containers and enjoy.
