Instructions
1. Lightly wipe ware with damp sponge to remove any bisque dust.
2. Flower Plates: using the No. 6 Round brush, apply three coats of the following to the designated areas, allowing color to dry between coats:
· Light Kiwi: flower centers
· Bright Straw: middle section of large plate, ending color about 1” from edge; middle section of inside and middle section of back of large bowl; inside petal area immediately surrounding center of small bowl
· Really Red: outer edge surrounding Bright Straw on the front and entire back side of large plate
· Bright Saffron: inside and outside edge of large bowl
· Light Grape: upper section close to edge on inside and outside of small bowl
· Dark Grape: edge of inside and outside of small bowl
3. Using the No. 3 Liner brush, create Dark Black circles in the centers of each of the pieces, applying three coats and letting dry between each coat.
4. Using the No. 3 Liner brush, create lots of thin lines extending from flower centers using Dark Briarwood, pulling the strokes for a painted look. Repeat step with Dark Black to fill in color. Refer to photo.
5. Leaf Plates: Using the No. 6 Round brush, apply three coats of the following to the designated areas, allowing color to dry between coats:
· Light Kiwi: bottom 2/3 on front of large leaf plate as well as bottom 1/3 of backside; center portion on front of small leaf plate
· Bright Kiwi: top 1/3 of large leaf plate and top 2/3 of backside; outer portion and entire back of small leaf dish, blending with Light Kiwi where colors join
6. Using the No. 1 Liner brush, thin a small amount of Dark Kiwi with water and apply two thinned coats along the vein lines on each plate, allowing the color to flow along each vein.
7. Place a small amount of Dark Kiwi onto a piece of foil. Dip toothbrush into color and splatter Dark Kiwi over front and back of each leaf. Allow splatters to dry thoroughly.
8. Stir the Pure Brilliance™ Clear Dipping Glaze. Quickly dip each piece into the glaze and allow each piece to dry on a stilt.
