Instructions

Swirl T-shirt
1. Prewash T-shirt to remove sizing; do not use fabric softener.

2. Cover work surface with plastic tablecloth and lay damp shirt flat on work surface.

3. Pinch T-shirt fabric in the spot where you would like the center of the swirl to be, then twist fabric tightly, continuing until the entire T-shirt is in the shape of a swirl.

4. Wrap three rubber bands around swirled shirt, crossing rubber bands to create six wedge shapes.

5. Wearing gloves from kit, add water to dye bottles to line indicated on bottles. Replace caps and shake until thoroughly mixed.

6. Squeeze one color of dye onto each wedge, making sure color seeps down into the folds. Carefully flip shirt over and repeat on backside, matching colors to the corresponding wedge on the other side.

7. Cover shirt with plastic tablecloth to keep damp and let set for 6 to 8 hours or longer for most intense colors. Rinse shirt thoroughly in warm running water until runoff is clear, removing rubber bands at this time.

8. Wash separately in the hottest water suitable for fabric and a small amount of laundry soap. Dry separately.

Bullseye T-shirt
1. Prewash T-shirt to remove sizing; do not use fabric softener.

2. Cover work surface with plastic tablecloth and lay damp shirt flat on work surface.

3. Pinch T-shirt fabric in the spot where you would like the center of the bullseye to be, then pull up about 3” and wrap a rubber band around fabric.

4. Repeat wrapping six more rubber bands along the length of shirt, spacing about 2” apart, until shirt is formed into a tube shape.

5. Wearing gloves from kit, add water to dye bottles to line indicated on bottles. Replace caps and shake until thoroughly mixed.

6. Squeeze one color of dye onto each section in between rubber bands, making sure color seeps down into the folds. Alternate colors as desired.

Crumple Tank Top
1. Prewash tank top to remove sizing; do not use fabric softener.

2. Cover work surface with plastic tablecloth and lay damp tank top flat on work surface.

3. Wrap three rubber bands around the bottom of tank top, spacing about 1” apart. Crumple the remaining fabric above the rubber bands.

4. Wearing gloves from kit, add water to Fuchsia and Black dye bottles to line indicated on bottles. Replace caps and shake until thoroughly mixed.

5. Squeeze Fuchsia dye onto the first and third rubber-banded sections and Black onto the middle rubber-banded section and the crumpled fabric above the rubber bands.

6. Cover tank top with plastic tablecloth to keep damp and let set for 6 to 8 hours or longer for most intense colors. Rinse shirt thoroughly in warm running water until runoff is clear, removing rubber bands at this time.

7. Wash separately in the hottest water suitable for fabric and a small amount of laundry soap. Dry separately.
