Instructions

  1. Wash and dry onesie and cap. Iron smooth.
  2. Cut out “I” and heart from I Heart Pacifier Iron-On Transfer™. Set aside.
  3. Trace “T,” “Y,” and “S” from pattern onto a piece of freezer paper, leaving a 1” margin around each letter. Cut out stencil with craft knife.
  4. One at a time, place “I” and heart and just below neckline and centered, leaving enough space for ornament stencil to drop down from in between transfers. Refer to photo. Cover with ironing cloth and follow package instructions to iron onto onesie.
  5. Place “T,” “Y” and “S” stencils centered under the “I” and heart, leaving enough space between “T” and “Y” for ornament Sticky Fabric Stencil™. Refer to photo. Pour a small amount of Ebony Soft Fabric Paint™ on foil and using cosmetic sponge, pounce color into letter stencils. Let dry.
  6. Remove ornament (without bow) from Multi-Surface Stencil™ and place between the “T” and “Y”. Pour a puddle of Crimson Red on foil and use a clean sponge to pounce Crimson Red into ornament stencil. Let dry and remove stencil. Use small liner paintbrush and Ebony to paint in a line extending from top of ornament. Let dry.
  7. Determine placement of choo-choo train Iron-On Transfer™ below wording but do not iron on. Remove choo-choo train and place a strip of tape horizontally onto onesie with bottom edge of tape aligning with where train wheels will sit when transfers are ironed on. Make sure tape is long enough to stretch across entire front of onesie, and run finger along edges to avoid paint seepage.
  8. Place another strip of tape 1” below first strip and press in place. Repeat process, moving down front of onesie to bottom; make sure onesie is buttoned in diaper area so tape can be placed on diaper area.
  9. Repeat process on sleeves, creating vertical lines. Refer to photo.
  10. Pull brim of cap down so it is no longer folded and tape cap in the same manner as onesie, creating about two stripes on each side and leaving the bottom untouched as brim will be folded up after painting.
  11. Place paper towel sheets between layers of onesie and cap to prevent paint from seeping through to the other side.
  12. Place another paper towel over top area of onesie to protect lettering from overspray. Spray Christmas Red Fabric Spray Paint™ first on a paper towel to get a feel for spray nozzle.
  13. Lightly spray Crimson Red onto fabric between tape, avoiding spraying too heavily at one time to prevent paint from becoming too thick in certain areas and seeping under the tape. Let dry then add 1 to 2 more coats to desired color saturation, letting dry between coats. Let dry, then remove tape. Note: If paint has bled through tape in certain areas, you can touch up lines with Crimson Red and Glacier White Soft Fabric Paint™ using a small paintbrush.
  14. Repeat for cap, letting one side dry before spraying the other. Let dry and remove tape.
  15. Position choo-choo train Iron-On Transfers™ along top of first horizontal stripe on onesie and iron according to package instructions. Fold up brim of cap and place a choo-choo train Iron-On Transfer™ on brim. Refer to photo. Iron on according to package instructions.
  16. Cut a piece of green ribbon and tie into a bow, trimming ends as necessary. Glue bow to top of ornament on onesie using Aleene’s® Fabric Fusion™. Let dry.
