Instructions
1. Print pattern onto paper (enlarge if desired.) For Santa ornament, cut one 4-1/8” diameter circle from cardboard cereal box. Using masking tape, tape edges of pattern to blank side of circle.
2. Place heavy cardboard on work surface. Place circle on heavy cardboard. To punch design, place nail along pattern line; hold nail firmly and tap gently with hammer. Holes should be big enough to stay open when design is painted but small enough to hold design without tearing. Space holes about 1/8” to ¼” apart.
3. Paint background white; let dry. Referring to photo for colors, paint design; let dry. To create glossy finish, apply one coat of Sealer to ornament and let dry.
4. Using hole punch, punch hole in top of ornament. For hanger, fold gold thread in half and slip folded end through hole; pull ends of thread through loop and knot ends together. For Santa ornament, glue red rickrack to back of design so that half of rickrack extends beyond edge. For tree ornament, punch holes ½” apart around edge of design. Beginning and ending at bottom of ornament and leaving long tails, thread yarn through holes. Tie yarn tails in a bow. For holly ball ornament, glue gold rickrack to back of design. Repeat on Santa ornament. Tie ribbon in a bow and glue to top front of ornament.
