Instructions

Girl’s T-shirt

1. Wash T-shirt to remove sizing; do not use fabric softener. 

2. Cover work surface with plastic tablecloth. Lay damp T-shirt out flat on work surface.

3. Wearing gloves from dye box, add water to dye bottles to lines indicated on bottles and shake until thoroughly mixed.

4. Squeeze Purple dye onto top third of shirt and Royal Blue dye onto the bottom third of shirt, leaving center white.

5. Cover shirt with plastic tablecloth to keep damp and let set 6 to 8 hours or longer for most intense color.

6. Rinse thoroughly in warm running water until runoff is clear, then wash in hottest water suitable for fabric and a small amount of laundry soap. Dry separately.

7. Use scissors to cut bottom of shirt into fringe strips.

Boy’s T-shirt

1. Wash T-shirt to remove sizing; do not use fabric softener.
