Instructions

  1. Cut patterns apart.
  2. Pin body pattern to two layers of green felt and cut out. Remove pattern.
  3. Center head pattern on shortest edge of body pattern and tape together. Pin pattern to stiff blue felt and cut out. Remove pattern.
  4. Pin remaining patterns to felt, following pattern instructions for number and colors then cut each out. Leave pattern on felt until needed.
  5. Remove pattern for arms and legs then position on blue felt body where shown, adjusting as needed. Pin in place.
  6. Place two layers of green felt for body on top of blue felt piece, sandwiching arms and legs and lining up edges, and pin in place.
  7. Use sewing machine to sew along two sides and bottom edge, sewing arms and legs in place. Remove pins.
  8. Cut a ½” x 3” piece of blue felt. Use Fabric Fusion™ to glue to back of red antennae piece - this will allow it to stand up. Set aside to dry.
  9. On computer, determine desired font and size needed for name and print out. Cut out each letter, pin to red felt and cut out.
  10. Referring to photo for placement, place all felt shapes in place. Lime “ear” pieces and antennae are placed behind head. Apply thin beads of Fabric Fusion™ to back of pieces and press in place.
  11. Cut silver ribbon to fit across legs and arms adding an extra 2” at both ends. Add a thin bead of Fabric Fusion™ on felt then lightly press ribbon into place. Let dry then flip over and glue ends in place.
  12. Working on a few lines at a time, add a thin bead of Fabric Fusion™ for silver cording on mouth and dial. Press cording into glue then trim ends. Continue with all cording and let dry.
  13. Glue flat glittery discs from button package in place where shown. Let dry.
  14. Use hole punch to punch a hole about ½” in from edge on each corner of head. Cut a 16” length of cording. Tie a knot in one end then thread untied end through hole, determine length of hanger then thread through other hole. Knot end of cording then trim end.
