Instructions

Projects listed in order left to right

  1. Prewash fabric to remove sizing; do not use fabric softener.
  2. Cover work surface with Surface Cover and lay damp clothing on prepared surface.

Sleepless in Urbanesque PJ Set

  1. Wearing plastic gloves, add water to all three dye bottles. Replace caps tightly and shake until dye is dissolved.
  2. Squeeze Turquoise dye randomly onto top section of tee and let it run down length of tee.
  3. Squeeze Fuchsia onto middle of tee, using same technique. Refer to photo.
  4. Squeeze spots of Lime Green on bottom section of tee.
  5. Fully saturate boxer shorts with Lime Green dye.

PJ's You Can't Resist

  1. Use felt pen to draw hearts onto contact paper. Cut out with craft knife, leaving outside edges intact to create stencils.
  2. Peel backing from heart stencils and place down one leg of pants. Press along all edges to seal from seepage. Squeeze resist gel onto paper plate, then use foam brush to dab resist into stencil openings and let dry completely.
  3. Peel backing from heart with wings stencil from kit and position onto center of t tee. Use foam brush to apply resist. Set aside and let dry. Once dry, remove stencils from pants and tee.
  4. Wearing plastic gloves from kit, add water to Turquoise and Fuchsia dye bottles. Replace caps tightly and shake until dye is dissolved. Place spray nozzle on Fuchsia dye bottle. Note: To achieve a lighter shade as shown, pour desired amount of dye out of bottle and refill bottle with water, diluting color to desired shade.
  5. Spray Fuchsia dye onto tee, completely covering shirt. Flip shirt over and spray back if needed.
  6. Dampen pajama pants then squeeze Turquoise dye all over pants, fully saturating.

Say It and Spray It

  1. Wearing plastic gloves, add water to all dye bottles. Replace caps tightly and shake until dye is dissolved.
  2. Place spray nozzle on Turquoise dye then spray onto top third of damp tank.
  3. Thoroughly clean spray nozzle then place on Lime Green dye bottle. Spray Lime Green dye onto bottom third of tank, leaving the middle third white.
  4. Squeeze Fuchsia dye onto pants, fully saturating, then splatter with Turquoise dye. Refer to photo.

I'll Have Sweet Dreams Tonight

  1. Prewash and dry tank top and pajama pants to remove sizing. Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets.
  2. Cover work surface with Surface Cover. Lay tank top on prepared surface.
  3. Wearing plastic gloves, add water to all three dye bottles. Replace caps tightly and shake until dye is dissolved.
  4. Place spray nozzle on Lime Green dye bottle then spray over dry tank.
  5. Squeeze Fuchsia dye onto pajama pants, leaving some spots un-dyed. Refer to photo.
  6. Pour Turquoise dye into a small plastic cup. Dip foam brush into dye and write out “sweet dreams” on tank top with tip of brush. Create clouds and stars for added detail.

Shibori the Night Away

  1. Wearing plastic gloves, add water to Fuchsia and Turquoise dye bottles. Replace caps tightly and shake until dye is dissolved.
  2. Wrap tank tightly around Shibori tube and scrunch fabric together. Squeeze Fuchsia dye onto damp tank then unwrap from tube. Set aside.
  3. Squeeze Turquoise dye onto boxer shorts, starting from the top of the shorts and moving down toward the hem in a random pattern, leaving some white remaining on bottom of shorts. Refer to photo.
  4. Place spray nozzle on Turquoise dye. Wrap the top section of tank around Shibori tube and scrunch fabric together. Spray top of tank with Turquoise dye. Unwrap tank.
  5. Clean spray nozzle and place on Fuchsia dye bottle. Wrap bottom of boxers onto Shibori tube and scrunch fabric together. Spray with Fuchsia dye. Unwrap shorts.
