Sweetness tie-dye

Instructions

1. Place tee in cold wash and run through cycle to dampen.
2. Cover work surface with plastic tablecloth or trash bags and lay damp tee out flat on surface. Smooth out tee to remove any wrinkles.
3. Wearing rubber gloves, add water to Fuchsia dye bottle to line indicated.  Replace cap tightly and shake until dye is dissolved.  Pour out half to two-thrids of the dye in bottle into another container, leaving a one-third to half of the Fuchsia at bottom. Fill bottle back up with water, diluting Fuchsia to a Light Pink.
4. Squeeze Light Pink onto entire left half of shirt, creating jagged, fingerlike shapes. Completely saturate so color soaks through to back of shirt. Refer to photo.
5. Cover shirt with plastic tablecloth/trash bags and let sit 4 to 6 hours before washing.
6. Wash tee in a large load of water with a small amount of soap. Dry in dryer, then iron smooth.
7. Preheat dry iron to wool setting.
8. Peel backing from design.
9. Position on surface, plastic side up.  Cover with thin cloth.
10. Press and hold iron over design for 45-60 seconds.  Let cool.
11. Remove plastic.
12. Turn inside out.  Iron back of design for 15-20 seconds. 
13. To wash, turn inside out, on gentle cycle.  Dry flat or line dry.
