I like the product

I bought the tourquoise dye then read the comments on here. I was worried my shirts would not turn out. I was dyeng 21 shirts for my kindergarten class. I did it in 3 batches, following the directions exactly. All my shirts turned out a very pretty color. Exactly what I was wanting. The only thing didn't like was not being able to do it in my washer like you can with RIT. But overall I am pretty satisfied.

A complete loss!

This stuff is a disaster! I followed the instructions to the letter, and ended up with 2 ruined blouses. Going back to Rit! Also, I rate it "No stars", but it seems stuck on 1 1/2.

Total waste of money!

I bought two packs of BLACK fabric dye...to dye a VERY light (in weight and powder blue in color) pair of jeans....Followed the directions to the letter...this Dye did nothing but stain my hands and my wooden spoon. Didn't even ALTER the shade of the jeans. Next time I will go back to RIT Dye.

worst dye color Ever!

very expensive bamboo fabric is BLUE, bright bright BLUE!! It doesn't match my other fabric AT ALL! I will NOT suggest this product to ANY of my contacts who are also interested in dying fabric for diapering. Horrible!

Frustrating

A friend and I planned on dying a white dress green to wear as a costume for Halloween. After following the directions and dying the dress the final product turned out a teal blue. Unfortunately the color dye we bought was lime green. This dye is 100% fail. We're ticked.

works well if you don't follow directions

To get the most vibrant color you need to use hot water, don't dilute it as much as the package says (unless you use multiple packs of dye) and don't use salt. The salt seemed to make it not stick. The fabric must be freshly washed and dryed(with no fabric softener). It works best if you put it in a plastic bin and immerse the fabric in the hot water/dye solution and move it around for a few minutes making sure all the fabric has been evenly soaked. Squeeze out extra liquid and don't rinse. Then lay it out flat on the lawn and spray it generously with white vinegar. Let it dry in the sun. Then wash it in the washing machine with detergent in cold water. Dry it in the dryer. The less synthetic fabric blend you use the less it will fade or become blotchy. This dye is brighter and prettier than other dyes commonly found at craft and grocery stores.

Didn't work well at all, left my daughters sweatshirt all blotchy even though I followed the directions exactly.
