A Step Back in Time Divided Dish

Give your holiday serveware a nostalgic touch by using the newest colors in the Duncan® Shimmer Glazes line! The pink and yellow give a feel of yesteryear while still staying festive for all your holiday gatherings. 

  1. Wipe plate with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
  2. Trace an approximate 2” circle in center section of plate. Trace two smaller circles in the remaining sections (refer to photo if necessary).
  3. Brush three coats Yellow Citrine in the largest center ornament.
  4. Brush three coats Pink Tourmaline in the middle size ornament and three coats Aquamarine in the smallest. Let dry.
  5. Paint ornament toppers with Bright Saffron.
  6. Mix a small amount of Black into the Saffron and dilute mixture to thin.
  7. Use Liner brush to paint round hanger and outline ornament topper.  Paint fine line from each ornament to top of plate. Let dry.
  8. Brush three coats Yellow Citrine to back of plate. Let dry.
  9. Brush edges of plate and dividers with fan brush allowing brush to go slightly over the sides and feathering into the front of plate. Let dry.
  10. Brush a coat of Pure Brilliance to bisque areas, dry and brush a light coat over plate. Let dry.
  11. Stilt on kiln shelf and fire to cone 06.
