Create an Elegant DIY Holiday Table with ColorShot
The holiday season is finally upon us! I don't know about you, but this time of year is my favorite. Celebrations with family and friends, a smorgasbord of delicious food, classic movies, joyful feelings abound ... I love every minute of it! I also love all of the amazing holiday DIYs I see out there, especially the ones that involve entertaining. Who doesn't enjoy a festive holiday table?! The good news is, you don't have to spend a fortune to set your table in style; check out how easy it is to create your own elegant setting with simple fabrics and Tulip® ColorShot Instant Fabric Color!
What you need:
- Table runner or white fabric
- Chair runners or white fabric
- White cloth napkins
- Red party dress
If you can find white pre-made chair covers and a table runner, that's even easier, but making your own from fabric is always an option too, even if you aren't into sewing. Just use Aleene's® Fabric Fusion®
Holly leaves are a festive holiday favorite; kick them up a notch or two on the chic scale by spraying them in gold against a backdrop of black and white. Get the tutorial and patterns here
I'm a sucker for details ... I love the holly leaf accents on these dinner napkins. (If you're clumsy and sort of messy like me, you might worry about scratching your face from having to wipe it umpteen times, but you shouldn't; ColorShot actually dries soft and flexible ... woo hoo!) If you really want to be sitting pretty, these chair covers will add some extra elegance to your party table.
Can't find chair covers? Just use fabric and tie in a cool knot on the backside of the chair. See how to make your own here
You can even spruce up your side chairs to carry your theme throughout the house!
Now that your holiday/New Year's party table is all taken care of, it's time to figure out what you are going to wear! You can use ColorShot for that too! Turn a simple red dress into a head turner (and a stunning accent to your black and white ambiance) with lace fabric and black ColorShot.
The devil is in the details ... It looks so real! And it's so affordable to make! Get the tutorial here
With all of this creative awesomeness, who wouldn't want to attend this party?!
