She honed her natural talents by attending the Academy of Arts in San Francisco on scholarship, art classes at San Jose City College. She works with various media and substrates. Day of the Dead Sugar Skull Mug

The Duncan Sugar Skull Mug’s design makes it easy to decorate your very own Day of the Dead mug. Paint inside the molded designs, then add your own details for a mug like no other.

  1. Wipe mug with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
  2. Lightly sketch design on mug. Hint: Keep simple as you will be cutting around designs with Neon Orange.          
  3. Brush three coats Neon Orange inside mug. Let dry.
  4. Brush three coats around designs on outside of mug with Neon Orange. Let dry.
  5. Paint heart shape eyes, center of nose, around teeth and other embellishments as desired with Black.
  6. Outline and create designs around mug with the French Dimensions Pure White, French Papaya and Licorice. Let dry.
  7. Stilt and fire to cone 06.
  8. Brush a light coat of Pure Brilliance to inner and outer surface of mug including handle. Let dry.
  9. Stilt and fire to cone 06.
