She honed her natural talents by attending the Academy of Arts in San Francisco on scholarship, art classes at San Jose City College. She works with various media and substrates. Her commercial endeavors include children’s coloring books, illustrative designs for bags, brochures and cards. Her exceptional illustration skills have brought her many jobs as a fashion illustrator for designers in Hong Kong and Hawaii.

Delectable Dinnerware Collection

Two complementary colors accent this delectable dinnerware set. The modern design and sophisticated color palette make for an interesting table setting any time of the year.

For best results, please read all instructions before beginning project. Refer to photo for color and design placement.

  1.       Wipe all ware with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
  2.      OVAL PLATTER: Refer to photo as a guide, and use ruler and pencil to line off sections on platter.
  3.      Run strips of tape along the outside of lines leaving spaces to paint.
  4.      Refer to photo and paint four coats Succulent in those spaces. Let dry thoroughly between coats and after final coat. Remove tape.
  5.      In remaining white spaces, use ruler to draw thinner sections for the Mango Tango strip (refer to photo). Tape off area to be painted.
  6.      Brush four coats Mango Tango within the taped sections.  Let dry thoroughly between coats and after final coat.
  7.      Paint three good coats Marshmallow Crème in the remaining white bisque areas of platter. Let dry.
  8.      Paint back of platter with four coats Succulent. Let dry.
  9.      Stilt platter on kiln shelf and fire to cone 06.
  10.   COUP, SALAD, DINNER and DESSERT PLATES:  Repeat as in oval platter using tape to section off areas.
  11.   Brush four coats of the Succulent and Mango Tango in their sectioned areas.
  12.   Brush three coats Marshmallow Crème in the remaining white bisque sections. Let dry.
  13.   Stilt pieces and fire to cone 06.
  14.   DINNER and SMALL SQUARE PLATES:  Brushfour coats of Succulent to front and backs of plates. Let dry. 
  15.   Stilt and fire to cone 06.
  16.   PASTA BOWL:  Brush four coats Mango Tango to inside bowl. Let dry.
  17.   Brush four coats Succulent to outside of bowl. Let dry.
  18.   Stilt and fire to cone 06.
  19.   SERVING BOWL:  Freehand design on side of bowl paint with Marshmallow Crème and Mango Tango.  Refer to photo. Let dry.
  20.   Stilt and fire to cone 06.

HINT:  You may sponge on the first coat of Succulent, let dry thoroughly, then brush the remaining three coats to ware to ensure even coverage.
