Suzie Shinseki

Suzie works as a Senior Designer at iLoveToCreate®. She has been involved with art since childhood, and her passion has continued throughout her life. She honed her natural talents by attending the Academy of Arts in San Francisco on scholarship, art classes at San Jose City College. She works with various media and substrates. You can find her masterpieces on painted signs, murals, people and animal portraiture, mold design, sculptures, ceramic projects and fabric paint designs. Her commercial endeavors include children’s coloring books, illustrative designs for bags, brochures and cards. Her exceptional illustration skills have brought her many jobs as a fashion illustrator for designers in Hong Kong and Hawaii.

Flower Power Trinket Box

Give Mother Nature a little help with Duncan® Shimmer Glazes™. The Duncan® Flower Trinket Box comes to life with scintillating sparkle and extra color appeal for a home accessory that will live in everlasting bloom.

 Print

Instructions:

1. Wipe ware with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.

2. Brush two coats Pure Brilliance to underside of lid and to inside and bottom of box. Let dry.

3. Brush three coats Light Saffron to outline of flower on lid and three coats Light Kiwi to center of flower. Let dry.

4. Brush 3-4 coats Orange Shimmer to remainder of box lid. Let dry between coats.

5. Make Yellow French Dimensions dots in green center of lid and dots in the yellow section of flower.

6. Brush 3-4 coats of Garnet Shimmer to bottom half of box. Let dry.

7. Brush one coat Pure Brilliance around the yellow outline of flower and the green center. Let dry.

8. Stilt lid and box and fire to cone 06.

  • Foil or foam plate for palette
  • Potter’s sponge
