She honed her natural talents by attending the Academy of Arts in San Francisco on scholarship, art classes at San Jose City College. She works with various media and substrates. You can find her masterpieces on painted signs, murals, people and animal portraiture, mold design, sculptures, ceramic projects and fabric paint designs. Her commercial endeavors include children’s coloring books, illustrative designs for bags, brochures and cards. Her exceptional illustration skills have brought her many jobs as a fashion illustrator for designers in Hong Kong and Hawaii.

Get Radical T-shirt

Get radical with your wardrobe by creating a tie-dye T-shirt that's anything but traditional! Bold contrasting colors separated with zip ties make for a design that's so cool, it's hot.

Instructions:

1. Wash shirt in washing machine without fabric softener. Do not dry.

2. Cover work surface with plastic table cover.

3. Lay out damp T-shirt on covered work surface.

4. Starting at the bottom of shirt, fold into small pleats approximately 1” wide until entire shirt is pleated horizontally.

5. Tightly secure a zip tie on each side of T-shirt neckline.

6. Mix Turquoise and Black dyes according to package instructions.

7. Apply Black to center portion of T-shirt, stopping approximately 1” from zip ties.

8. Apply Turquoise to each sleeve portion of T-shirt, stopping approximately 1” from zip ties.  Let set 6-8 hours.

9. Without removing zip ties, rinse T-shirt in cold water until water runs clear. Wash in washer.

10. Remove zip ties and dry T-shirt in dryer.

  • Plastic zip ties
