Happy Handlebar Mug

As if hot cocoa isn't sweet enough, make it even more enjoyable with a mug that has personality and a mustache to boot! Complete with top hat that doubles as a marshmallow bowl, this charming mug is fun for everyone. 

 Print

Instructions:

1. Wipe ware with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.

2. Trace glasses and mustache pattern on tissue paper using pencil.

3. Position pattern on cup and trace over lines using black marker.

4. Paint glasses with Black using Liner brush. Brush outline of mustache with same brush and fill in using the Round brush. Brush in two additional coats. Set aside and let dry.

5. Tape off approximately ½” on top part of cup. Paint three coats Black along strip and inside. Let dry. Remove tape.

6. To remainder of cup brush three coats of Black Diamond. Let dry.

7. Paint three coats Black Diamond to top and bottom of brim portion of hat and handle of mug. Let dry.

8. Draw line of French Dimensions Black around top of hat separating the Shimmer Black Diamond and Concepts Black. 

9. Draw line of French Dimensions Black around glasses and mustache. Let dry.

10. Draw feather in hat using French Really Red. Let dry.

11. Dryfoot unpainted portions of pieces on shelf and stilt pieces that are painted on bottom. Fire to cone 06.

12. Brush two coats Pure Brilliance to inside and outside of mug with the exception of handle. Also apply two coats to inside hat brim.

13. Stilt and fire to cone 06.
