Knitting Needle Clock

Tick, tock, it’s time for a fabulous DIY clock! Turn knitting needles into a kitschy timepiece with Liquid Fusion® Clear Urethane Glue.

Instructions:

1. To create a backing for clock face, trace clock face on chipboard twice and cut out using a small saw. Cut a square from centers to fit clock mechanism inside. Glue cutouts together to create backing, then glue into clock face with Liquid Fusion.

2. Using the cutting tool on a Dremel, remove the metal tips of four of the knitting needles. Where the metal tips once were, glue on wooden balls. Tip: You might need to use a drill to bore out the holes to make them larger. Once the beads fit on the knitting needles, attach them with Liquid Fusion.

3. Wrap the wooden ball tips in yarn and hold in place with a dab of Liquid Fusion.

4. Use the Dremel to drill holes the size of the knitting needles all the way around the edge of the clock into the wooden discs. Place the four knitting needles with yarn-wrapped balls at the four strategic points on the clock (12, 3, 6, 9).

5. Use Liquid Fusion to glue the rest of the needles all the way around the clock, trying to keep them spaced out evenly.
