Milk Mustache Snack Mug

This new favorite mug makes it easy to tuck a tasty snack right into the bottom of the cup! Give it even more personality with a striped handle and a “milk mustache.”

Instructions:

1. Wipe mug with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.

2. Brush three coats Really Red inside top, bottom and sides of cookie cubby. Let dry.

3. Brush three coats Really Red inside upper portion of cup. Let dry.

4. Using pencil lightly draw ½” stripes on handle. Paint each stripe with three coats Really Red. Let dry.

5. Trace mustache on tissue paper using pencil.

6. Position tracing above cookie cubby. Refer to photo. Trace over mustache with marker pen to transfer design.

7. Brush three coats of Black to mustache. Let dry.

8. Place on kiln shelf and fire to cone 06.

9. Brush one coat Pure Brilliance to white, bisque areas. Let dry. Brush a second coat to entire cup.

10. Stilt on shelf and fire to cone 06.

11. For one fire:  Carefully sponge or brush Pure Brilliance to white bisque areas of cup. Let dry. Add a second coat to entire cup being careful not to smear painted areas. Let dry and fire to cone 06.

  • Pencil
  • Container for water
  • White tissue paper
  • Foil or foam plate for palette
  • Sharpie extra-fine point permanent marker
  • Potter’s sponge
  • Paper towels
