Mother's Day Knitting Bowl

Show your mom how special she is with a gift that’s as creative as she is! A hand-painted knitting bowl with a sweet sentiment is the perfect gift this Mother’s Day.

  1.      Wipe bowl with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
  2.      Freehand floral design on bowl or trace and transfer pattern using clay carbon paper.
  3.      Pour small puddles of all the colors on palette with the exception of Black.
  4.      Add a little water to each to create a watercolor consistency.
  5.      Brush one coat of color on florals and leaves without being too concerned about following the pattern lines. Keep it loose and with a watercolor appearance. Let dry.
  6.      Load the No. 1 Liner with Cobalt Jet Black and loosely brush fine outlines around petals and leaves. Let dry.
  7.      Transfer phrase “Mom, you are the string that holds us together…” onto bowl with clay carbon paper.
  8.      Trace over wording with Black French Dimensions. Let dry.
  9.      Place on kiln shelf and fire to cone 06.
  10.   Brush 2 coats of Pure Brilliance onto entire bowl. Let dry.
  11.   Stilt and fire to cone 06.
