Photo Art Image Transfer Canvas

Transform favorite photographs into canvas art that looks fabulous with an easy image transfer technique using Collage Pauge Instant Decoupage! Transfer entire images or peel away areas for a vintage look. Either way, you’ll have a keepsake that will be treasured long after its creation.

1. Select image from computer or from online. Print this image on standard printing paper using an inkjet printer. Cut the image to fit on top of your canvas. (Remember image will be reversed when adhered to canvas.)

2. Use paintbrush to paint an even coat of Collage Pauge matte over the ink side of your printed image. Lay the image face down on top of your canvas. Using an old credit card or gift card, smooth the image out lightly over the canvas to ensure that the Collage Pauge is distributed evenly and completely over the canvas. Let dry overnight.

3. Once the Collage Pauge has dried slowly rub away the paper pulp to reveal the image transfer. To do this you will need to dip your finger tips or a small gentle sponge in water and lightly scrub at the paper in small circles. The paper pulp will begin to rub off immediately. Be careful not to scrub too hard to prevent scrubbing away the image itself. For a distressed or vintage look go back and scrub away the image where desired.

4. Once all the paper pulp is scrubbed off, brush any remaining paper scraps off canvas and allow it to dry for several hours before hanging.
