Suzie Shinseki

Suzie works as a Senior Designer at iLoveToCreate®. She has been involved with art since childhood, and her passion has continued throughout her life. She honed her natural talents by attending the Academy of Arts in San Francisco on scholarship, art classes at San Jose City College. She works with various media and substrates. You can find her masterpieces on painted signs, murals, people and animal portraiture, mold design, sculptures, ceramic projects and fabric paint designs. Her commercial endeavors include children’s coloring books, illustrative designs for bags, brochures and cards. Her exceptional illustration skills have brought her many jobs as a fashion illustrator for designers in Hong Kong and Hawaii.

Rainbow Walkers

You’ll be walking on sunshine and an entire rainbow as a matter of fact when you transform a new or tired pair of sneakers into a colorful wardrobe addition. Tulip® Fabric Spray Paint makes it quick, easy and oh so fun!

Rainbow Walkers Step Out

Instructions:

1. Cover work surface with disposable plastic table cover.

2. Use painter’s tape to mask off white rubber sole and toe areas.

3. Remove shoe laces. Pull out shoe tongue to expose. Place shoes on covered work surface.

4. Spray Yellow in the center area of shoe going across tongue and reverse side.

5. Spray Orange next to the Yellow moving toward the top of shoe. Follow with Red.

6. Moving toward the heel of shoe, spray Green blending into the Yellow. Next add Blue on the heel blending into the Green. Let dry.

7. Repeat for second shoe.

8. Dampen shoelaces with water. Lay out across protected work surface.

9. Spray laces with Yellow, Orange, Red, Yellow, Green and Blue. Let dry.

10. Remove tape from soles of shoe. 

11. Rethread shoelaces.
