She honed her natural talents by attending the Academy of Arts in San Francisco on scholarship, art classes at San Jose City College. She works with various media and substrates. Her commercial endeavors include children’s coloring books, illustrative designs for bags, brochures and cards. Summer BBQ Serving Tray

Add some flair to your summer soirees with fun prints in bright colors from Duncan® Concepts® Underglazes! A platter painted in a bright gingham pattern is perfect for the food table at your next barbeque.

  1. Wipe platter with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
  2. Run strips of tape across platter, leaving approximately 1” of space between each.
  3. Brush one coat of Neon Red over exposed sections, using a long, even stroke across the open strips. Let dry.
  4. Remove strips of tape and begin taping in the opposition direction, leaving the 1” of space between each. Make sure edges are well sealed.
  5. Brush one coat of Neon Red over exposed sections using a long, even stroke. Let dry and remove tape.
  6. Brush three coats of Neon Red or two coats of Pure Brilliance onto back of platter. Let dry.
  7. Brush two coats of Pure Brilliance to front, letting dry between coats. Let dry completely.
  8. Stilt and fire to cone 06.
