Deep Sea Tie-Dye Bedspread
Tie dye is always a popular summer project, but isn't it nice to make something to be used indoors year round? This blue-on-blue deep sea inspired bedspread would make a great addition to any bedroom in the house!
Want to make your own? It's easy!
- Tulip One Step Tie-Dye kit (I used the purple and turquoise from this kit, plus an additional bottle of this deep sea blue)
- Duvet, white cotton (can easily be made by sewing two white cotton sheets together like a large pillowcase)
- Note pictured; gloves and rubberbands (included in the kit), bucket, and water
After adding water to the bottles of dye, apply dye randomly over the surface of the fabric. By keeping a limited color palette, you will find layering colors may give you interesting results!
Let it rest overnight (or 6 hours, minimum). Fill washer to large load setting with hottest water suitable for fabric and a small amount of soap. Wash and dry separately.
Wahoo! Look at that!
