Pursuit of Hoppiness Frog Plate

Create a pond dweller with some personality when you transform the Duncan® animal plate into a friendly frog! Duncan® Concepts combine with Duncan® Shimmer Glazes for a hoppy-go-lucky plate!

  1.   Wipe plate with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
  2.   Use pencil to lightly freehand frogs eyes, nose mouth.
  3.   Brush three coats Light Kiwi around eyes and mouth. Let dry.
  4.   Brush three coats Bright Papaya around pupil in eye.
  5.   Paint pupil with Black leaving a white spot for highlight.
  6.   Paint tongue with three coats Light Pink. Let dry.
  7.   Dilute some Dark Wine and brush sides of tongue and curved line in center.
  8.   Make random irregular spots on frog’s face with one coat Bright Kiwi.
  9.   Paint nostrils and inside mouth Black. Let dry.
  10.   Brush Emerald Shimmers inside spots and around eye. Let dry.
  11.   If desired, dip an old toothbrush into diluted Black and spatter over frog. Let dry.
  12.   Place plate on kiln shelf and fire to cone 06.
  13.   Brush one light coat of Pure Brilliance to front of plate and two coats to back.  Let dry.
  14.   Stilt on kiln shelf and re-fire to cone 06.
